Lincoln Cent Sales2009 Lincoln Cent Proof Sets launched on Aug. 26 with a fair share of collector anticipation. Demand was solid during the first four days, but surprisingly not blockbuster strong as has been the case with past 2009 Lincoln penny product launches.

The difference is perhaps because many collectors have already ordered the proof coins via the other two sets they are included in -- the 18-coin clad proof set and the special silver proof set. Still, with the four coin Lincoln set priced at $7.95, this collector at least was anticipating bigger numbers. So how many were sold? The answer is 66,350.

In other numbers, Lincoln Professional Life two-roll sets dropped by more than 10,000 compared to the prior reported figures. 14,319 more were sold for a new total of 191,364.

Finally, rolls of the Formative Years cents were stopped once again, this time at 300,000. As of this writing the rolls are still listed on the US Mint's online store. However, it appears new orders will be processed only if an old order is cancelled.

The following table includes the latest US Mint sales figures for sets and products that include 2009 Lincoln Cents:
